ENDORSEMENT and Emotional Appeal
As you now a lot commpanies have been using advertisments for thousands of years to their advantage. I will show you some of the techniques used in the commercials to persuade there costumers to come desperate for their products. One technique used is Endorsement. Endorsement is when a celeberty recommends a product. If a celeberty uses a invention created by a brand a lot of their fans will buy it too. In the video shown below is an example of Endorsement because Ashton Kutcher ( celeberty) looks like he is enjoying the camera and is taking photos which seem to him like they're great. The other video down below shows the technique emotional appeal because it focusses on how dog is and how lonely they are. They're trying to make people adapt one of the dogs so they can get a home and no longer crave for food and the things they need for life.
MY OPINION
In my opinion I liked one commercial but not the other one. In the first one the technique used was endorsement I liked how they used a famous celeberty to persuade the people to buy the product. The celeberty Ashton Kutcher makes the camera stand out than any other camera sold out which will make people die for that product. I think they're targetting fans of the actor in the video. I think so because why would they waste there money on him if they just did an ordnary person they wouldn't get as much people. The brand is taking advantage of a celeberty to bring in more customers.
Even though I like persuasive commercials I don't like the dog one. The commercial is just focusing on the cuteness of the dog not how lonely or starving they are. I bet there are plenty of other dogs that are not in shape why can't they use that. They can focus on how out of shape they are so people can feel bad for them. I think this commercial is targeting animal lovers because they're showing how cute they are and it will be a better chance of getting a animal lover than a regular person. The people who likes animals won't just stand there and watch them suffer.
